at the Grace Baptist Church

Maestro Michael Nowak and the Santa Maria Philharmonic Orchestra lead an orchestral excursion across Europe and the United States for the closing performance of the 2023-2024 concert season.
Celebrated 20th Century composer Aaron Copland captures the American midwest in The Tender Land Orchestral Suite, a snapshot of the themes from his beloved opera The Tender Land. Hungarian composer Béla Bartók explores folk melodies of his home country in the personal orchestral composition Hungarian Pictures. The Santa Maria Philharmonic welcomes guest violin soloist Jessica Guideri to help close the concert and season with a performance of Édouard Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole, the late 19th Century French composer’s musical depiction of Spain.
