The members of the Board of Directors of the Santa Maria Philharmonic Society are passionately interested in promoting the organization, classical music performance, and the Arts in general. The Board is charged with establishing policies and procedures for the operation of the Society, envisioning long-range plans, securing adequate funding to maintain fiscal viability, and providing overall governance, including recruitment and oversite of the Music Director and Executive staff. Terms are for two years, and can be renewed with approval of the membership. Directors are drawn from members in good standing.
