The Santa Maria Philharmonic Society launches our 2021 annual membership drive.

Over the past year, we asked you – our community – to support classical music in Santa Maria. Your kindness and generosity allowed the Santa Maria Philharmonic to keep the lights on and to produce, record, and present free digital content for our patrons and friends. Now, we are thrilled to share some brand-new content with you as we ask for your support to launch a new season of concerts. Enjoy this look back at what the Philharmonic has achieved!

The Santa Maria Philharmonic is committed to providing live, local, musical experiences for all people, all ages. Despite the challenges we faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, our core values of sharing the joy of music with others and being a cultural enrichment partner to our community have not been altered. Plans are underway to bring vibrant, new content and inspiring programs to the public. Your generous contributions make these positive community impacts possible.

Our goal for 2021 is to raise $100,000, roughly $1 for each resident of the beautiful Santa Maria Valley that we call home. These funds pay musician and staff salaries, cover concert expenses, and support music education events for the young. By donating today, you make it possible for the Phil to keep playing on as we return to concerts in the coming year – with your help, we will Listen – Local – Live once more! As always, your donation is tax deductible [Tax ID No. 77-0288378].

Believe in the Phil? GO BIG with your donation and receive a Big reward!

If, like us, you believe we will be able to Listen-Local-Live (again) at the start of our concert season in fall 2021, we would like to show our appreciation for your faith in the ability of the Phil to play on. Donate to our membership/fundraising campaign by July 31, 2021 at a level of at least $2,500 and you’ll receive two season tickets for the Philharmonic’s 2021-22 season (four concerts).

This offer is good only through July 31, 2021; one award per household/patron.

Enjoy Maestro Nowak and the Santa Maria Philharmonic performing the beloved children’s classic, Peter and the Wolf. This work, a “symphonic fairy tale for children”, was written by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936. Our narrator, Kitty Balay, of PCPA fame, tells the story, while the orchestra illustrates “themes” for each character.

Children of all ages will enjoy this wonderful performance!

A big thank you to everyone who has supported the Phil in the past, as well as new supporters who just donated for the first time this year! You give us the resources and motivation to keep going, even when the going gets tough.

The Philharmonic is forever grateful and we look forward to seeing everyone in live, local concerts again soon!

If this year was difficult for you financially, as it was for so many, we understand that donating money may not be possible just now, but we’d be so thankful if you could show your support in one of the following (free!) ways:

  • Share this link to our online fundraiser with friends and family
  • Follow us on Facebook
  • Subscribe to our YouTube channel – you might not know this, but channels like ours can’t access some features until we reach a minimum number of subscribers, so this actually helps us out!
  • Share our Facebook page and YouTube channel with friends and family, our content is for everyone!
  • Sign up to receive email updates from the Phil so that you’re in the loop when we resume live, local concerts again! We don’t use cookies or other software trackers to harvest your info on our website, so the only way that we can contact our supporters is if you choose to share your contact info with us intentionally (we send one or two emails a month, promise not to flood your inbox).
  • Are you an influencer? Run your extended clan’s newsletter? Want to get involved on a more active level? Drop us a line and we’ll figure out a role that works for you.
